The Study
It seems as though scientists and medical experts are always testing new theories to try and help us understand our bodies and certain illnesses. Over the past few decades, researchers from Edith Cowan University’s School of Medical and Health Sciences have been researching diet in regards to heart disease and cancer – two conditions that cause countless fatalities every single year. Through their 23 years of research, they assessed a whopping 53,048 Danish people who were eating foods that are rich in flavonoids.

The Food
There’s a high chance that you don’t take much notice of foods that have flavonoids in them, but it might be an idea to start looking into these things. That’s because foods that are high in flavonoids have been linked to fewer cases of cancer and heart disease, so eating more of them will definitely work in your favor. Foods that are high in flavonoids normally come from plant-based foods and drinks, such as apples and teas. In fact, they found that people who had just 500mg of flavonoids each day were lower risk of such diseases. Those who had less had a higher risk.
If you’re always looking to stay on top of your health, it might be an idea to keep on top of what you’re eating. In some cases, it may be that you have to eat more of something.
