In fact, there have been plenty of praises and complaints. The Google Assistant, for example, boasts new powers such as full control with just voice controls, while new Motion Sense technology has the ability to assume helpful tasks like lowering an alarm in anticipation of the hand getting closer to it, but before directly touching the phone. As impressive as this is, it's only helpful sometimes, and can easily mistake a user's intention and overact on their behalf.

The battery life has also been an unpleasant experience for many, who say it was better with previous models. All in all, prioritizing these accustomed features over new features that they didn't ask for doesn't seem to be a great move for the Pixel 4.
