Not getting enough sleep can be extremely detrimental to one’s health. That’s why we are always looking for new ways to sleep through the night and get a full eight hours.
Even though technology and blue light can be blamed in part for our lack of sleep, it can also be used in an effort to help us understand why we’re not getting enough shut-eye and how we can change that. Nokia recently released a gadget called the Nokia Sleep, which can be used for tracking sleep cycles and habits as well as providing detailed reports of each night’s sleep.
The best part of the Nokia Sleep is that it is non-invasive. In fact, users don’t even need to wear the product anywhere on their body. Nokia’s sleep-tracking device comes in the form of a sensor-filled pad that you simply slide underneath your mattress. From here, the Nokia Sleep can sense snoring, sleep cycles, and heart rate.
With access to Wi-Fi, users can sync the Nokia Sleep with the Nokia Health Mate app, which can also guide you through the process of setting up the device. Through the app, users can conveniently read detailed, through reports on how long they slept for, heart rates, and their overall sleep quality throughout the night.
The easy-to-read chart also provides users with a ‘sleep score.’ The ‘sleep score’ is basically the app’s way of simplifying all of the data it provides. Through ‘sleep scores’ Nokia’s device can provide users with reasons why they aren’t getting enough sleep. The Health Mate app will take the data provided by ‘sleep scores’ and use it to provide suggestions for how users can improve their sleeping habits and get more restful sleep.
